To provide all of our guests with a truly relaxing experience, we kindly ask that you switch off your mobile phone during your stay at the PALACE SPA. We also ask that you refrain from using laptops and cameras, and that you keep any conversations quiet.
Our therapists will ask at the start of each treatment about your particular wishes and any concerns, so that they can look after you as well as possible. Please also mention any particular health conditions, as certain treatments may not be suitable for you.

You are welcome to book your appointments directly by emailing wellness@kvarnerpalace.info or by calling our wellness reception on 00385 (0) 51 38 06 07. To ensure your preferred time slots, we recommend booking your treatments when making your room reservation.
Please inform us as early as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. For cancellations made the day before, 50% of the treatment cost will be charged. For cancellations made on the day of the appointment, 100% of the treatment cost will be charged.
Out of consideration for subsequent guests, please understand that if you arrive late, your treatment time will be reduced accordingly.

to know for your
wellness stay

After a physical training session, you should rest for at least 15 minutes before entering the sauna. After your sauna session, we recommend resting and replenishing your fluids before resuming exercise.
Escape the pressure of the clock! Consciously allow yourself a few moments to leave the everyday world behind and relax completely. Plan at least two hours for your sauna visit. Only then can the full health-promoting benefits be realised and the restorative effect fully enjoyed.
Before entering the sauna, you should shower thoroughly with soap to remove creams, oils or make-up. Then dry yourself well – dry skin sweats more readily. A gentle massage with a brush will also stimulate circulation and remove dead skin cells.
A sauna session should last between 10 and 15 minutes. If you are experienced, you may complete up to three sauna sessions. For beginners, a single sauna session is often enough. Listen to your body’s signals and do not overexert yourself on your spa holiday.
After your sauna session, do not drink immediately, so as not to interrupt the detoxification process. We recommend waiting a few minutes and then drinking plenty – ideally mineral water or diluted fruit juice. Alcohol should be avoided.
If you are pregnant, please consult your doctor beforehand. For uncomplicated pregnancies, a sauna visit is generally suitable.
If you are unwell, please avoid the sauna. The transition between heat and cold could exacerbate the infection. A sauna visit can support recovery only once your cold has almost fully cleared.
Please refrain from going to the sauna in case of:
- Open wounds or severe bruising
- Conditions with fever or inflammation (in particular of the organs or blood vessels)
- Cardiovascular diseases, epilepsy or cancer
- Conditions affecting the liver, kidneys or nervous system
After a sauna session, your body needs fresh air. Go outside and breathe deeply.
After cooling down, wrap yourself in your warm bathrobe and rest for at least 15 minutes on one of our relaxation loungers. Whether you read a book, listen to music or have a short nap – enjoy this time before starting your next sauna session.
